Attorney-at-law, Dr. Jur., Partner, Head of Arzinger’s West-Ukrainian Branch, Head of Alternative Dispute Resolution practice, specialises in providing legal support in investment projects (commercial, real estate and corporate law matters) as well as representing clients’ interests before the judicial authorities of Ukraine and dispute settlement under the procedures of commercial and investment arbitration.
Markian is a recognized expert in international arbitration. He has extensive experience in representing Ukrainian and international companies in arbitration proceedings in different jurisdictions, including all known global arbitral institutions.
He handled cases under the Arbitration Rules of ICSID, ICC, SCC, UNCITRAL, LCIA and ICAC.
In 2012 Markian Malskyy obtained his doctoral degree (Dr. Jur.) with the thesis: “Arbitration agreement as a condition for dispute resolution in international commercial arbitration” at the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University.
Markian Malskyy is an Of Counsel of the Head of Lviv Regional State Administration for foreign economic activity.
He is a recommended arbitrator of six arbitration institutions, including Vienna International Arbitral Centre, Dubai International Arbitration Centre, Arbitration Centre of Mexico, Arbitration Court attached to the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic, Court of Arbitration at Nowy Tomyśl Chamber of Commerce.

He wrote two books on commercial dispute resolution and has over 100 publications on legal issues. Markian often speaks at different workshops and conferences. He is an active member of several NGOs and a member of the Organising Committee of the annual International Economic Forum in Lviv.

Lada is highly experienced and focuses on hospitality, corporate law, real estate and construction, which ensures the integrity of all real estate transactions and investment projects. Lada has participated in large scale cross-border and local investment projects focused on long-term cooperation between foreign investors and local partners though the establishment and operation of joint ventures, holdings, and corporate restructuring.
Lada is specialised in Hotel Management and Franchise Agreements, structuring M&A transactions, regulating the shareholders' relations through Shareholders’ Agreements and corporate restructuring of the client’s business for fundraising, IPO or subsequent sale thereof, as well as for effective intragroup tax planning.
Lada graduated from Kiev-Mohyla Academy with 3 excellent diplomas, including LLM (Master of Laws degree) and for over a year was granted the Presidential Scholarship for professional excellence.
Before joining the Arzinger team, Lada worked for over 3 years with major law firms in Ukraine – Vasil Kisil and Partners and DLA Piper Ukraine.
Lada joined the Arzinger team in 2010 and has been heading the Hospitality Department since 2012. In 2011 Lada won a worldwide scholarship of the International Bar Association in Real Estate.
